Results: ₹160 Cr sanctioned; 90 → 20 days loan sanction time; 51% of 2,200+ applications digitised, across 500+ businesses. ₹3 Cr in revenue, and Bizongo became the first buyer app live on ONDC for lending. Problem: Business loans at Bizongo ran on email, calls and spreadsheets. Sales collected documents by hand, lenders reviewed them offline, and nobody could see where an application stalled. I owned the move to a digital journey: application, documents, CRM, lender review and, later, the ONDC lender to borrower flow. Evidence: Between the February launch and 10 April, the web form drew 3,735 visits. Only 61 businesses reached the PAN step and 17 finished eligibility. That told me the problem was not traffic. Asking for sensitive documents before showing eligibility, price or lender choice created a rational trust barrier. Decision: I set up HubSpot end to end for lending, so every lead, deal and application event was recorded and attributed, and trained Sales on it. When the self-serve journey stalled, I did not treat release as success. A retrospective showed customers had already sent documents, DSA-led deals needed help, and some leads should never have qualified. So I rejected pushing harder on pure self-serve. The redesign started from a qualified deal, sent prefilled application links, allowed assisted and DSA-led completion, and kept company documents from being uploaded twice. Result: ₹160 Cr sanctioned and about ₹3 Cr in revenue, with sanction time down from 90 to 20 days. Document collection fell from about 15 days to 10. A low-code workflow I built generated about ₹20 L of lender invoices without routine Finance work. Learning: The original journey assumed borrowers would serve themselves. The evidence said otherwise, and the product changed to match how loans were actually won. ### Lean Order Flow (Procurement, 2022 to 2023) https://ishanpurohit.pages.dev/work/lean-order-flow Role: Senior Product Manager, order flow, Bizongo. Results: 1.5 h → 1.5 s to release a supplier PO; −38% PO cancellations, annualised; +111% PO value per vendor. Problem: A buyer’s purchase order could not reach the supplier until someone created a delivery request. Delivery groups, delivery requests and partner mappings sat between the buyer and the supplier, each a place to fail. A purchase order is a commercial commitment and stays stable. Deliveries are execution: split, rescheduled, rerouted. Tying one to the other made the stable document wait for the unstable one. Evidence: I checked whether the extra machinery earned its keep. Across six months, about 94% of dispatches had a single supplier for that product and location. Those dispatches carried about ₹1,464 Cr of ₹1,793 Cr invoiced. The complex path existed for the exception. Decision: Generate the supplier PO straight from the buyer PO and its mapping. Plan deliveries in the same flow when known, or later when they are. I rejected patching the delivery-first chain. The new flow handled multiple sellers, quantity splits, partial delivery plans, missing mappings, later changes and cancellations, with regression across PO, shipment and invoice. Result: Supplier PO release went from about 1.5 hours to 1.5 seconds. Cancellations fell 38% annualised, POs per vendor fell 41% and PO value per vendor rose 111%. Operations could now plan staggered deliveries after the supplier already had the order. Learning: Separating commercial intent from execution removed a whole class of incidents, not just a delay. ### A credit ledger Finance could trust (Financial controls, 2022 to 2023) https://ishanpurohit.pages.dev/work/credit-notes Role: Senior Product Manager, finance workflows, Bizongo. Results: ₹14 Cr payables cut in a quarter; ₹80 Cr credit notes processed in a year; 70% faster monthly reconciliation. Problem: About 11% of shipments came back: roughly 400 returns a month against 3,600 deliveries. When a supplier had already been paid, Bizongo had to recover the excess from future payables. In one quarter, 250 such credit notes were worth about ₹16 Cr. Recovering them meant a BI request, a Tally dump, manual matching and a hand-calculated offset. Evidence: The existing auto-adjustment used first-in-first-out. It could consume the wrong note, split a large note across many invoices, adjust a note Finance had not approved, or count a duplicate twice. Decision: Before any new code, I insisted on a ground-zero clean-up: mark notes already used as settled, cancel invalid ones, then recalculate balances. New code on corrupted state formalises old errors. Then a seller-level credit ledger replaced FIFO: approve or cancel each note, pick which notes to apply at payment, prefer the note tied to that invoice, block invalid combinations, and keep an audit trail and reversals. Result: ₹14 Cr of payables cut in a quarter and ₹80 Cr of credit notes processed in a year, with monthly reconciliation effort down 70%. Utilisation doubled from 28% to 57%, and settlement time fell from eight days to six. Learning: Finance kept the choice; the system kept the rules. Control and usability were the same design problem. ### A procurement platform for SMEs (B2B SaaS, 2023 to 2024) https://ishanpurohit.pages.dev/work/procurement-platform Role: Senior Product Manager, platform and integrations, Bizongo. Results: 114 companies transacting; ₹173 Cr in purchase orders; 26 integration vendors evaluated; onboarding 10 h → 1 h. Problem: About 35% of scoped platform transactions were handled by Bizongo staff relaying purchase orders, invoices and proof of delivery between companies. A commerce and financing network cannot scale if people carry its documents by hand. Evidence: Prospects already had Tally, SAP or another ERP. They feared double entry, worried about sharing data and could not see the return. SAP integrations took six to eight weeks each. Decision: I rejected asking companies to abandon their tools. Integration came first: POs, catalogue and prices, invoices, GRN and proof of delivery, through standard templates per ERP. I evaluated 26 integration vendors and standardised the APIs. And I only prioritised integrations where Sales could show a margin gain, because each one carried real cost. Result: 114 companies transacting and ₹173 Cr in purchase orders by Q2 FY24, with more than 3,000 invoices worth about ₹78 Cr. Partner onboarding fell from 10 hours to 1. Learning: Platform adoption failures leave no incident ticket. I had to go and find them in customer conversations. ## Experience ### Independent Product Builder and Co-Founder, Humble Brag, Arth, NaviJuni, April 2025 to present, Bengaluru - Co-founded Humble Brag and built its operating stack: a live finance dashboard on Google Sheets, Zoho Invoice and Cloudflare that automates revenue, margin and cash tracking; monthly billing up 3.8x from February to October 2026, profitable on all recorded activity. - Run client delivery for healthcare, education, IT services, renewable energy and retail clients: LinkedIn and Instagram content, video, pitch decks and GTM collateral; built and shipped the company website. - Started a women’s ethnic footwear company; built and evaluated a database of 80+ manufacturers, component suppliers and artisan partners, with pilots running with 2 manufacturers. ### Senior Product Manager, Bizongo, April 2022 to March 2025, Bengaluru - Led the 0-to-1 build of the digital lending platform: 51% (1,000+ of 2,200+) of loan applications digitised across 500 businesses. - Cut loan sanction time from 90 to 20 days by improving UX, integrating HubSpot CRM (full setup and ownership for BizFin) and training Sales; enabled ₹160 Cr in sanctioned loans and ₹3 Cr in revenue. - Designed the ONDC-enabled lender to borrower platform, cutting processing time to 2 to 5 days and making Bizongo the first buyer app live on the protocol. - Launched a B2B procurement platform for 114 companies handling ₹173 Cr in purchase orders. - Built the lean order management system, cutting order placement-to-confirmation from 1.5 hours to 1.5 seconds and cancellations by 38%. - Built credit-note application for Finance, reducing payables by ₹14 Cr in a quarter and ₹80 Cr in a year, with reconciliation 70% faster. - Supported CXOs in investor communications during Bizongo’s $260M+ fundraising, showcasing platform capabilities. ### Product Manager, Bizongo, August 2019 to March 2022, Bengaluru - Built a fraud detection system for automated GST return validation, bank validation and anti-circular trade, detecting ₹5 Cr in suspect transactions. - Led SAP and iPaaS integrations: evaluated 26 vendors and standardised APIs, cutting onboarding from 10 hours to 1 (90%). - Built low-code automations, including a bulk product toolkit for 10k+ product uploads and one-click settlements that unblocked ₹14 Cr of accounts payable. - Led 3 departments with 7 direct reports: Product Intelligence (1,200+ issues a year on flows worth ₹500 Cr), Cataloguing and Quality Assurance (60% test coverage). ### Sales Manager, Bizongo, April 2018 to July 2019, Bengaluru - Managed a ₹12 Cr portfolio at 110% of target, with FirstCry, Naaptol, PharmEasy, Myntra and Sesa Care. - Captured 100% of customers’ packaging spend and kept 95% wallet share in primary packaging. - Improved cash flow with a 25-day credit period through margin and collections work. - Sales Shark of the Year: 20% of company revenue, including growing Bewakoof 10x. ## Career in one number each - 2018 to 2019, Sales Manager, Client Growth, Bizongo: ₹12 Cr portfolio at 110% of target; Sales Shark of the Year - 2019 to 2022, Product Manager, Bizongo: 1,323 → ~800 quarterly incidents; three teams, seven reports - 2022 to 2025, Senior Product Manager, Bizongo: ₹160 Cr sanctioned on the lending platform I built - 2025 to now, Co-founder and product builder, Humble Brag: 3.8x monthly billing growth in eight months, across seven clients ## Side projects - Humble Brag (https://humblebrag.co.in): A marketing studio I co-founded.
