How I work

Relieve, then redesign: Unblock the people on the ground first, then use what that teaches to remove the whole class of problem.
Follow the data through the chain: A purchase order touches payment, dispatch, invoice and settlement. I trace the failure across all of them.
Clean the record before the release: New code on corrupted state formalises old errors.
Put control with whoever owns the information: Clients change their own delivery details; Finance picks its own credit notes.
Measure adoption, not launch: A shipped journey nobody completes is not done.
